Lord Howe Island is a tiny pacific island, with a tourist cap of 400 at any time, and strict biosecurity measures to protect the unique and delicate ecosystems on the island.

I visited Lord Howe Island in 2019, and immersed myself in nature, biking around the tiny and incredibly special island. It reminded me of the importance of preserving and protecting biodiversity, especially in the face of climate change.

For me, living on Lord Howe Island is like living inside a David Attenborough documentary. Outside my front door is the Island rainforest – alive with the calls of rare endemic birds.
